About me
Hi, I’m Amala — a UX Designer with a background in Architecture, currently in Canada
My journey into design started with a childhood fascination for all things creative. While I began my career as an architect, I soon discovered that my true passion lay in crafting meaningful digital experiences. My architectural background gave me a strong foundation in design thinking, research, and working with tight deadlines — all of which continue to guide my work in digital design today.
Over the past few years, I’ve worked on a variety of projects — from mobile apps for logistics teams to CRM tools for engineers. Whether it’s simplifying complex systems or enhancing visual flows, I focus on building products that are intuitive, meaningful, and grounded in empathy.
When I’m not designing, I’m usually spending time with my family and friends, or daydreaming about my next travel or food adventure. When you hear someone laughing in a hilarious way you can find me there – " I’m the one doing the laughing! I also enjoy painting and playing violin (very badly).
My goal in life? To always stay curious, keep growing, and never lose my sense of joy — even if that means being a little weird sometimes.
